About This Event
This 14.5 mile hike begins at the Backbone Trailhead on Malibu Canyon and proceeds up Mesa Peak Motorway. After about about 6 miles of uphill trekking with ocean views, we reach the top of Corral Canyon where we can do some optional rock climbing, take a break, snack, horse around, etc. See picture on right.
Then we leave the Backbone Trail toward Castro Crest and Bulldog Motorway where we begin our descent into Malibu Creek State Park. We'll traverse MCSP, climb some more hills and enter Tapia Park and return to our vehicle. We'll stop a couple more times along the way
