DESCRIPTION:Join us for a scenic bike ride on the beach bike path and road from Long Beach Marina to Huntington Beach Pier. This is an easy bike ride which is just 10 miles each way (20 miles round trip.) If you prefer to continue to Newport Beach it's just 5 miles more each way on the beach bike path.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe'll stop for a quick bite to eat on the way back.\\n\\n\\n\\nROUTE MAP:\\nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/z1dDEGEwqgrSkFsJA\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nQUALIFICATIONS:\\n\\n\\n\\nBike riders who are comfortable and experienced riding their bikes on bike paths and roads who can keep up with our group riding at least 12 miles per hour are welcome to join us. You are required to wear a bike helmet to ride with our group. E-bikes are welcome!\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nMEETING PLACE AND TIME:\\n\\n\\n\\nArrive at the parking lot (free parking) at 8:30 AM to get ready.\\n\\n\\n\\nMeet for introductions and a mandatory safety talk at 8:45 AM.\\n\\n\\n\\nWE WILL DEPART PROMPTLY AT 9:00 AM.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nCONTACT:\\n\\n\\n\\nLouis' cell phone number is in the RSVP question (which you can see by clicking on the blue box under "You're Going")\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nPLEASE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:\\n\\n\\n\\nRSVP: If you can't come please change your RSVP to "No" so we are not waiting for you.\\n\\n\\n\\nBICYCLE: Make sure your bicycle is in good working condition with the tires properly inflated and the chain lubricated prior to the ride.\\n\\n\\n\\nRULES OF THE ROAD: Safety is always our first concern. Use standard hand signals and obey all traffic stops and signals.\\n\\n\\n\\nSPARE TIRE TUBES: You need to know how to change your own bicycle tire tubes if you get a flat tire. Please bring 2 spare tire tubes\, levers\, a small bicycle pump or CO2 cartridges to fill your tires with air once you change the bicycle tire tube. If you don't have spare tire tubes you might have to call a taxi to take you and your bicycle back to your car!\\n\\n\\n\\nMONEY: Please bring money for your lunch and taxi if necessary.\\n\\n\\n\\nBIKE LOCK: Don't leave your bicycle unlocked at any time. Please bring your own bicycle lock.\\n\\n\\n\\nHELMET: Please be advised that you are required to wear a helmet to ride with our group.\\n\\n\\n\\nWATER and FOOD: Please bring water to drink so you don't get dehydrated and food to eat\, such as a protein bar\, in case you get hungry.\\n\\n\\n\\nWAIVER OF LIABILITY:\\n\\n\\n\\nPlease read this important disclaimer: This Meetup group\, it's organizers and members take no responsibility for any injuries nor accidents that may occur during events.
