DESCRIPTION:See the heart of LA on two wheels and join the biggest Bike Event in town. You will be getting 3 for the price of 1. We start with our Downtown Tour and combine it with the 6th St Viaduct Grand Opening and CicLAvia's South LA open streets bike ride. This a relaxed no-drop tour of many historical and contemporary sights in DTLA. The ride will be led by experienced volunteers from the Los Angeles Wheelmen Cycling Southern California since 1945.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe start at Los Angeles State Historic Park. The route does a quick loop over the North Broadway and North Spring Street bridges with their panoramic views. Then we visit ethnic spots like Chinatown\, Olvera Street and Little Tokyo and head through the Arts District to the final bridge - Grand Opening of the new 6th Street Viaduct\, open this weekend! (See photo)\\n\\n\\n\\nReturning through the historic core of DTLA to major downtown edifices\, we quickly tour two downtown campuses and Exposition Park.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe connect with CicLAvia and ride a small section of the event as a group. Riders also have the option to leave the group and continue to explore the entire event and return at their own pace.\\n\\n\\n\\nAt 20 miles and only 450 ft of climbing\, this easy route is perfect for beginners but also of interest to experienced riders who want to expand their horizons in terms of routes\, learning to ride in groups\, or just getting to know bike-friendly LA routes.\\n\\n\\n\\nPhotos from a previous ride https://www.meetup.com/los-angeles-bicycling/photos/31944018/\\n\\n\\n\\nRoute info: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39959289\\n(subject to change)\\n\\n\\n\\nCue Sheet: Click Here For Printable Sheet\\n\\n\\n\\nStarting Location: Spring Street In Front of Cargo Snack Shack\\n\\n\\n\\nPublic Restrooms: Inside the park (Opens at 8:00 am)\\n\\n\\n\\nParking: Free Parking on N Spring St and adjacent neighborhood -Meters are free on Sunday\\n\\n\\n\\nDirect access via Metro Gold Line Chinatown Station\\n\\n\\n\\nEbike? - OK if it is Class 1 or 3 and you keep a pace consistent with the group.\\n\\n\\n\\nGuests? - OK - Bring them along or better yet have them sign up.\\n\\n\\n\\nWeather Forecast - https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/los-angeles/ext\\n\\n\\n\\nWaiver: http://www.lawheelmen.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Waiver-and-Release-of-Liability-2013.pdfhttp://www.lawheelmen.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Waiver-and-Release-of-Liability-2013.pdf\\nSign up to this event constitute participant's agreement to release all liability against organizers/host/sponsors of this event.\\n\\n\\n\\nRequirements:\\nHelmets are mandatory.
