DESCRIPTION:Los Angeles simplest and most boring Century Bike Ride. You'll need about 33 laps to make it a full 100 miles. Or you can just sample it with 1 lap at 3.3 miles\\n\\n\\n\\nThere is also 100 feet of gain on each lap. Doesn't sound like much\, but that's 3300 feet for the entire century so you will definitely get a good workout.\\n\\n\\n\\nThe real challenge is the mental challenge of riding around and around and around all day. Indy 500 drivers do 200 laps. They don't seem to get bored or dizzy. Of course you can ride as many laps as you wish. One nice thing about this century is that you pass your car every 3 miles and you can always call it quits at any time. Make this a bucket list ride and set a new personal record for miles in one day. See how many walkers and/or runners you pass and revel in the efficiency of covering miles and miles on a bicycle. It doesn't matter how many laps you get\; just get outside\, stay safe and stay healthy.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis classic Wheelmen route is a good training ride for the LA Wheelmen Grand Tour which starts at 124 miles and tops off at 400 in one day. http://www.lawheelmen.org/the-grand-tour-2/\\nMany Wheelmen have taken on both of these challenges at least once.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis ride will be special as it coincides with a 5k/10k run/walk around the Rose Bowl to honor Sherwood Lee\, a founding member of the LA Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee. https://runsignup.com/Race/LAChinatownFirecracker/Page-16\\nThis ride also qualifies for the Los Angeles Firecracker virtual bike ride so for those who have registered\, 6 or 12 laps will put you in good standing for your goodie bag.\\n\\n\\n\\nYou will be in good company and let's see who winds up as last person riding! Post your total in the comments section and upload a photo or screenshot of your finished mile tracker (Garmin\, Strava\, etc). There may be a secret prize to the person with the most laps/miles.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis is a self supported ride. You need to carry sufficient drinks and snacks for the entire ride. Store it in your car and you can have a picnic at your 1/2 way point.\\n\\n\\n\\nThere is no escort\, SAG or Rest Stop support.\\n\\n\\n\\nThere is no route sheet as it is virtually impossible to get lost on this ride.\\n\\n\\n\\nHelmets are mandatory and bring a spare innertube in case of flats.\\n\\n\\n\\nRide Time\\n\\n\\n\\nMost riders will start around 8:30am and finish at their own pace.\\n\\n\\n\\nRestrooms at the aquatic park and at the North End of the Rose Bowl\\n\\n\\n\\nEbike? - OK if Class 1 or 3\\n\\n\\n\\nGuests? - OK - Bring them along or better yet have them sign up.\\n\\n\\n\\nParking: Plenty of free parking in multiple parking lots and some side streets.\\n\\n\\n\\nQuestions? - Post in the comments section. Achieved a new personal record? - post it in the comments as well.\\n\\n\\n\\nSign up to this event constitute participant's agreement to release all liability against organizers/sponsors of this event. This event is not supported\, sponsored or hosted by LACFRC.
