DESCRIPTION:Our loopy hike will begin at the west end of Vanowen St -- the trail head for Moores Canyon/El Escorpión Park. We’ll head west along a dry creek until we enter the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Preserve where we turn south toward Ahmanson Ranch. We’ll soon arrive at our destination atop a plateau overlooking the West San Fernando Valley\\n\\n\\n\\nHike will be appx 3.5 miles total with about 700 feet total ascent.\\nHike is rated EASY+ due to terrain. Green and/or red lights are ok (but lights will probably not be needed since the area will be well lit by the moon). If you require a white light then this hike is not for you. Head north to Vanowen St. Turn left. Park on street near the end of Vanowen\\nFrom the 118: exit Topanga Canyon\, go south\, turn right on Vanowen St\\n\\n\\n\\nIMPORTANT\\nTrail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated.\\nBring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.\\n\\n\\n\\nTrail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival.
