DESCRIPTION:Join us for an out and back hike through the old stomping grounds of Edgar Rice Burroughs in Caballero Canyon. This is a great hike for folks who want some good exercise and at the same time enjoy the local beauty offered in the Santa Monica Mountains.\\n\\n\\n\\nHike is rated MEDIUM with 6 miles and 1000 ft total ascent. See the HWD Hike Rating Guide\\n\\n\\n\\nBring water\, snacks\, hat\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections to the Trailhead:\\n\\n\\n\\nMeet at the Caballero Canyon trailhead on Reseda Bl. From the 101 Freeway\, exit at Reseda Blvd and turn south. Drive for about 2.2 miles. There is parking on both sides of the street\; the trailhead is on the east side of Reseda Blvd. across the street from Braemar Country club. The trailhead is clearly marked with a big sign. Parking on street is OK.\\n\\n\\n\\nParking is free.\\n\\n\\n\\nDo not go to the very top of Reseda Blvd\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Organizers and members of Hiking With Dean are not professional leaders\, guides\, or mountaineers. The function of the member or organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who shows up for a trip/meetup (and their guest or guests) is responsible for his or her own safety.
