DESCRIPTION:YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE VIP CLUB TO ATTEND THIS HIKE\\n\\n\\n\\nPlease visit VIP event page for hike details\\n\\n\\n\\nPrize drawings from my Amazon Top 10 list and free wine at post-hike lunch! (You don't have to attend hike or lunch to win prizes\; drawing is open to all VIP members)\\n\\n\\n\\nThe first time we explored this one was several years ago and in the rain. Have you ever tried bushwhacking in the rain to find a trail that hadn't been used since the 90s? We gave up\, but returned later and found our trail\, thus creating a brand new loop hike just for our VIPs! and keeping the trail clear (mostly)\\n\\n\\n\\nMy secret trail connects the Cold Creek Preserve with a segment of the Backbone Trail. We'll take a couple of side trips to the VIP Clubhouse and an old water tank.\\n\\n\\n\\nPost hike lunch at Maria's Italian Kitchen in El Camino shopping center at 23331 Mulholland Dr. Its to the left of Wells Fargo.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe will be hiking off-trail that will most likely require a little bushwhacking and poison oak avoidance. Wear long pants\, long sleeves and good hiking boots. Hike is about 6 miles with 1\,200 ft total ascent.\\n\\n\\n\\nExpect the unexpected.\\n\\n\\n\\nYou must be a member of the VIP Club to attend this hike. Please visit http://www.hikingwithdean.com to join.
