DESCRIPTION:Wow! Its our 15th anniversary. Let's celebrate with a PotLuck &amp\; BBQ at Oak Canyon Community Park -- we'll do a hike also -- and reminisce about the past 1.5 decades and plan for the next.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n	Please use the comments section to let us know what you will be bringing to the potluck and if you would like a burger -- I need to know how many patties to bring.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nOak Canyon Community Park is a beautiful\, 60-acre park with sandstone cliffs and a year-round creek. The park has a nature trail that loops through an oak forest\, crossing several times over Medea Creek. Near the trailhead is manmade waterfall cascading into a duck pond .\\n\\n\\n\\nHike will be about 5 miles with 1\,300 ft total ascent and rated MEDIUM due to terrain - See the Hike Rating Guide. We'll walk through the park and out to the north along the Suicide Trail and return via the China Flats Trail for a loop ending along Medea Creek and the Duck Pond.\\n\\n\\n\\nCovered picnic tables and hot coals and burgers will be waiting for us on our return -- Thanks Jon!\\n\\n\\n\\nDIRECTIONS\\n\\n\\n\\nParking\, trailhead and picnic tables are in same area. Keep food/drink in car and bring out after hike. Please use the comment section to list the items you will be bringing. 🍽️\\n\\n\\n\\nUse Google Maps and drive into Oak Canyon Community Park\\n\\n\\n\\nContinue past the first little left turn and proceed to 2nd parking lot (see photos section). We will meet there. If there is no room\, follow the park access road to the 3rd parking area farther up the road\, or the 1st one back near main entrance.
