DESCRIPTION:Everyone did a great job last week on the Switchback Trail. Let's do the same on the Valley of the Dolls Trail. If you'd like to help out please meet us at the north end of Canoga Ave under the 118 freeway on Jan 26\\n\\n\\n\\nBring light garden tools (e.g. loppers\, snippers\, saws\, shears) wear good hiking shoes\, long pants\, long sleeve shirt and gloves. No digging will be necessary\, we just need to clear some brush growing in and across the trails and realign the path into the canyon.\\n\\n\\n\\nMy kingdom for a Sharon Tate/Jennifer North doll! We need to refresh the doll collection on Valley of the Dolls trail. Please bring any dolls you don't need -- or maybe buy one at the dollar store\, Goodwilll\, etc? Here are some examples - the creepier the better https://www.meetup.com/localhikers/photos/30688083/. The ones we see today were put up over 10 years and a couple of fires ago.\\n\\n\\n\\nIn appreciation: Our trail helpers will receive a free membership in the HWD Donor's VIP Club (in lieu of $15.00 gift). If you are already a member\, your subscription will be extended one year. See https://www.hikingwithdean.com/ for more info\\n\\n\\n\\nTrail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.\\n\\n\\n\\nTrail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Organizers and members in this group are not professional leaders\, guides\, or mountaineers. The function of the member or organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who shows up for a trip/meetup (and their guest or guests) is responsible for his or her own safety. By attending a hike\, or any other event organized by this group\, you are acknowledging that you and any guests that you bring are aware of the risks\, dangers and hazards associated with the activity and freely accept and fully assume all such risks\, dangers and hazards\, and further agree to release and discharge the Organizers\, Members of the Hiking With Dean Meetup Group from and against any and all liability arising from your participation in the group activities per the ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY WAIVER.
