DESCRIPTION:Tired of the same old full moon hike? Then this one is for you. It will be the first time we have gone to Mt Basura in the evening. "Mt Basura" is my name for the Calabasas/Lost Hills Landfill. Our destination is a small peak overlooking the landfill with views of Calabasas and Agoura beyond.\\n\\n\\n\\nBring drink and light snacks to share. I'll bring some cold white wine.\\n\\n\\n\\nMore info here: https://www.hikingwithdean.com/event/buck-moon-hike-on-mt-basura-upper-las-virgenes/\\n\\n\\n\\nOur usual hikes to Mt Basura are about 8-9 miles. I have created a shorter option of about 5.5 miles with about 600' net elevation gain. The trails are clear and wide -- perfect for a moonlit hike.\\n\\n\\n\\nNO WHITE LIGHTS - see alternatives here: https://www.hikingwithdean.com/event/buck-moon-hike-on-mt-basura-upper-las-virgenes/\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Full Moon in July is the Buck Moon\, named after the new antlers that emerge from a buck's forehead around this time of the year. It is also called Thunder Moon\, Hay Moon\, and Wort Moon.\\n\\n\\n\\nSunset 8:04 pm\\nMoon rise 8:13 pm\\n\\n\\n\\nPark near the north end of Las Virgenes Rd. Arrive early to secure your spot. Hike starts promptly at 7pm
