Highlights during this stroll through a wooded canyon include ocean views.\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/7/8/0/600_441558304.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nAfter crossing the bridge we'll sweep through Summer Hill Ranch to the Canyon Overlook\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/5/a/d/600_441557837.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nThere are some cool sandstone outcroppings and a beckoning picnic bench\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/5/d/d/600_441557885.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nAfter heading north up the Santa Maria Canyon some\, we'll hook up with my Secret Trail that will take us to the land of longtime Topanga Resident Yedvart Tchakerian.\\n\\n\\n\\nAfter a side-trip to Vanalden Vista for a snack break\, we'll start the 2nd half of the loop\, head south\, and then west back to our starting point after a brief walking tour of some Topanga neighborhoods\, including the Cheney Ranch homestead\\n\\n\\n\\nHike will be about 8 miles with 1500 ft total ascent\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom Highway 101: drive south on Topanga Canyon Blvd for 3.7 miles. Turn left on Viewridge and drive 0.5 miles to the end of the road.\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom Pacific Coast Highway: head north on Topanga Canyon Blvd. for 9 miles and turn right on Viewridge.\\n\\n\\n\\nPark by end of street. There is plenty of parking\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Organizers and members in this group are not professional leaders\, guides\, or mountaineers.
