DESCRIPTION:I am calling this an "adventure hike" due to ongoing housing development in the area. Some trails will be closed so I am going to make this up as I go along. There might be a little bushwhacking. I've been hiking the trails up here for several years and there is always a way around impediments \;)\\n\\n\\n\\n....Here is a description from a previous hike in the area. It will be drier this time but the route will be different....\\n\\n\\n\\n....Easy-paced 8 mile (appx) loop hike begins at the north end of Canoga Avenue and meanders north through Chatsworth's Deer Lake Highlands and a network of of equestrian trails. From above the highlands we will descend into Echo Canyon creating a loop with Devils Canyon. Devils Canyon with it's spectacular rock formations created 80 million years ago in a marine environment makes for a haunting yet beautiful hike.
