DESCRIPTION:http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/4/9/c/600_339189372.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nWith two waterfalls\, scenic volcanic outcroppings\, a variety of hiking trails\, several pleasant picnic areas\, and abundant open space\, Wildwood Park is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the nearby city.\\n\\n\\n\\nSome of the highlights along the way:\\n\\n\\n\\n(Note: I don't have an exact route planned yet but hike is estimated to be an 8 - 10 mile loop with up to 3\,000' total ascent. It will include trails I haven't done in a long time\, have never done and some many don't even know exist! We'll also be walking through some neighborhoods to link up trails that are ignored by other groups).\\n\\n\\n\\nIndian Creek\\nThere will be stairs (sort of)!\\nGold Canyon\\nFort Wildwood Site\\nLynnmere\\nEagle Point\\nSkunk Hollow\\nParadise Falls (of course)\\nA Teepee\\n\\n\\n\\nMoonridge\\n\\n\\n\\nAbout Wildwood Fort: Built in 1967 it was torn down in 2009 as an "attractive nuisance." If you were a kid growing up in TO it was paradise\\n\\n\\n\\nFor a bit of history visit the HWD Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/hikingwithdean/\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/b/3/a/600_453215642.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nTo get there we'll have to climb these steps -- there are 76 of them\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/1/7/1/8/600_453905912.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nHere is a creek fed by Paradise Falls. There will be a couple of creek crossings on this hike. We might get our feet wet on one of them -- you've been warned!\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/6/2/2/600_337269762.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nLizard Rock - We won't be going here haha\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/d/9/2/600_339195762.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nAlong the Lynnmere Trail. This one is from our 2009 hike. It appears to be facing north with Mont Cleff Ridge in the background\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/f/0/d/highres_12264333.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nNo beginners\, experienced hikers only\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections:\\n\\n\\n\\nTake either Lynn Rd or the 23 to Avenida de los Arboles. Turn west to the end of the road. Parking lot is on the left. Meet on eastern end of parking lot by the trees
