DESCRIPTION:*Update: I now rate this hike as an "Adventure Hike." I was scouting out the area Tuesday and it was impossible to hike along some of the creeks without getting shoes wet or some light bushwhacking to stay dry. Hoping it will be better by Saturday. Be prepared for this and midcourse corrections as needed \;) .**\\n\\n\\n\\nSee also http://www.meetup.com/localhikers/messages/boards/thread/48752313\\n\\n\\n\\nEasy-paced 8 mile (appx) loop hike begins at the north end of Canoga Avenue and meanders north through Chatsworth's Deer Lake Highlands and a network of of equestrian trails. From above the highlands we will descend into Echo Canyon creating a loop with Devils Canyon. Devils Canyon with it's spectacular rock formations created 80 million years ago in a marine environment makes for a haunting yet beautiful hike.
