I will leave it posted for those that are interested to attend the brunch\, etc\\n\\n\\n\\nHere is the latest news:\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Dave Brown Overlook dedication by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy (SMMC) will proceed this Saturday\, March 1\, rain or shine. If it is raining\, the presentations will take place in the auditorium at King Gillette\, followed by brunch. There will be no trip up to the Overlook\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority invite you to join family\, friends and colleagues at the dedication of the DAVID M. BROWN OVERLOOK.\\n\\n\\n\\nShuttles leave King Gillette Ranch starting at 9:30. Last shuttle will be at 10:00 AM\\n\\n\\n\\nAfter a brief ceremony at the overlook\, guests will be shuttled back to King Gillette Ranch for a reception.\\n\\n\\n\\nThere is no parking available at or near the overlook which is up Piuma Rd\\n\\n\\n\\nIf you plan to attend\, please send an email to: info@smmc.ca.gov\\n\\n\\n\\nPlease note that the dedication part is not a HWD event\\n\\n\\n\\nAfter the reception we'll do a short easy hike to Inspiration Point. If time permits\, I will be doing an exploratory hike that's been on my to-do list for a few years\\n\\n\\n\\nD I R E C T I O N S\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom the 101 Freeway: Exit Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon. Head south on Las Virgenes Road 3.0 miles and then turn left onto Mulholland Highway. The park entrance is 0.1 mile on the right.\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom Pacific Coast Highway: Head north on Malibu Canyon Road for approximately 7.0 miles and turn right onto Mulholland Highway. The park entrance is 0.1 mile on the right.\\n\\n\\n\\nPA R K I N G Free 2-hour parking is available at the Visitor Center. For longer visits\, park over the bridge to the left for a $7 fee. There is street parking outside the ranch just in case we need it for our exploratory hike
