This hike will include a cross-country trek over the western ridge of Upper Las Virgenes Canyon and to the Baleen Wall in Cheeseboro Canyon. We'll hike along forgotten and overgrown ranch roads and use trails.\\n\\n\\n\\nIf you click on and look closely at the picture above you will see the remnants of a gate. At one time 3 unpaved roads met here. Besides our group no one has been here in possibly decades!\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/6/5/c/event_85478492.jpeg\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/1/0/0/event_256104832.jpegHere we are looking up at the Baleen Wall\, a familiar site on the Cheseboro Canyon Trail\\n\\n\\n\\nBelow are looking down from the Baleen Wall onto the Cheseboro Canyon Trail.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis is a strenuous hike and will go for about 9 miles. This is an "Adventure Hike." Be prepared to walk through brush and grass\, maybe some minor bushwhacking\, back-tracking\, meandering\, etc.\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections to trailhead:\\n\\n\\n\\nTrailhead is at the northern end of Las Virgenes Rd. From the 101 take the Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon exit and head north 1.4 miles away from ocean.\\n\\n\\n\\nThe Organizers and members of Hiking With Dean are not professional leaders\, guides\, or mountaineers. The function of the member or organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who shows up for a trip/meetup (and their guest or guests) is responsible for his or her own safety.
