Visitors are also treated to spectacular views of the Santa Monica Mountains\, the San Fernando Valley\, and the Los Angeles Basin to the ocean.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis moderate 5-mile loop with 600 feet of net elevation gain (about 750 total) makes for an excellent evening hike along and around Mandeville Canyon and its ridges.\\n\\n\\n\\nSee http://www.lamountains.com/parks.asp?parkid=54 for park info\\n\\n\\n\\nBring food/snacks and drink to share. No need to carry trash out.\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections to Trailhead\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom Sunset Boulevard\, 2.3 miles west of the 405 freeway\, head north on Mandeville Canyon Road. Drive 4.8 miles\, and turn left onto Garden Land Road.
