DESCRIPTION:http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/1/e/a/event_15173738.jpeg On June 21 at 5:16 pm the Earth's north-south axis will be tilted 23.5 degrees relative to the sun -- closer to the sun than on any other day of 2011 -- making this day the one with the most daytime hours. (The opposite is true in the Southern Hemisphere).\\n\\n\\n\\nA perfect excuse for a hiking party! Bring food and drink to share.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe will do the Oak Creek Canyon-Los Robles-Los Padres Loop among some beautiful oak groves with great views of the Conejo Valley. That will be about 5 miles with 600' elevation gain. Fit beginners and dogs OK.\\n\\n\\n\\nThere are facilities at the trailhead including picnic tables and bathrooms. Leave food and drink in the car -- we'll be partying after the hike Directions to trailhead:\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom the 101 freeway exit Moorpark Rd. Drive to the south end of Moorpark Rd\, turn right on Greenmeadow Ave.\, and go a half mile to the parking lot.\\n\\n\\n\\nNote: Enter Greenmeadow from Moorpark Rd. If your GPS tells you to take Lynn\, ignore it!\\n\\n\\n\\nI'll bring the infrastructure: table cloths\, plasticware\, plates\, napkins\, cups\, etc....\\n\\n\\n\\nhttp://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/e/4/0/event_23171840.jpeg
