DESCRIPTION:Hike exploring the forbidden recesses of the Ahmanson and El Escorpio Ranches. Along the way we will view Castle Peak and caves the Chumash used to prepare their dead for burial.\\n\\n\\n\\nHike will be 6-8 miles with moderate elevation gain (except for a couple of short strenuous bits).\\n\\n\\n\\nhttps://anabasius.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/picture-101.jpgInside the larger of the caves is a majestic cathedral view of the sky through a hollow ceiling. The deepest recess of the cave is the darkest region of the abode\, where no light ever enters\, so bring a flashlight\\n\\n\\n\\nDirections: Go to the west end of Vanowen St and park on street\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom the 101 freeway exit Valley Circle Boulevard. Head north to Vanowen St. Turn left.
