DESCRIPTION:The China Flat trail remains nicely packed and non-muddy after a rain. 360 degree views of Oak Park\, China Flat\, the Oxnard Plains\, Channel Islands\, and more from the top. Hike is about 3 miles with 900' elevation gain (with all the gain during the first 1.5 miles - this is an up and back). Hike is rated moderate-to-strenuous for elevation gain. With just a quick break at the top\, we'll be back to our cars in under 90 minutes with a respectable bit of exercise and a lovely view.\\n\\n\\n\\nProfessor Drew will be leading the hike.\\n\\n\\n\\nMeet at China Flats trail head on Lindero Canyon Rd near St James Ct\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom 101: Exit Lindero Canyon Rd and head north about 3.5 miles.\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom 23: Get onto Westlake Bl and turn on Kanan. Turn left on Lindero for about a mile.\\n\\n\\n\\nPark on "north" side of street. This will require a U-turn at the next street past the trail head -- Wembley Ave.
