DESCRIPTION:This will be a new one for us. A 7.5 to 9.5 mile hike through classic\, sycamore-covered geography\, with meadows\, boulder formations and outcroppings\, and rolling chaparral ridges\, to the top of Temescal Peak. Excellent views of the Pacific Ocean\, the Santa Monica Mountains\, Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley. There is about a 900' net elevation gain\\n\\n\\n\\nHighlights include: Eagle Rock\, Cathedral Rock\, The Hub\, Eagle Springs\, and the best part...Pat's Topanga Grill (BYOB)\\n\\n\\n\\nBring at least 2qts water\, lugsoles\, hat\, suncsreen\, camera.\\n\\n\\n\\nDIRECTIONS:\\nFrom the Ventura Freeway (101)\, exit at Topanga Canyon Boulevard\, drive south and proceed 8 miles to Entrada Road and turn left. Keep to the left at every opportunity until you reach the park's main parking lot (about one mile)\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom Pacific Coast Highway\, travel north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard\, pass the post office at the center of "town\," then turn right on Entrada Road.\\n\\n\\n\\nParking is $10.00 (exact change) in Park. There is some street parking on Entrada a block before the gate.
