DESCRIPTION:Join us for a peaceful\, easy-paced hike along this shady segment of the Backbone Trail. We will travel into an old growth Chaparral forest\, Oak Woodlands as well as through Streamside communities.\\n\\n\\n\\nThe hike will be about 8 miles in and out with moderate elevation gain. Depending on time we can explore the sandstone formations and caves at Corral Canyon.\\n\\n\\n\\nWe will meet at the Backbone Trailhead on east side of Latigo Canyon Rd. There are some bushes in front of turnout so keep a careful eye out for it.\\n\\n\\n\\nTo get there\, take the Ventura Fwy and exit Kanan Rd south towards the beach. After about 6.1 miles turn left on Latigo Canyon. The turnout is about 3 miles ahead on the left.\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom PCH take Kanan Dume Rd 5.6 mi to Latigo and turn right. Or you can turn up Latigo about 7 mi from PCH (trailhead will be on right)\\n\\n\\n\\nBring 2 Qts water\, hat\, lunch/snacks\, sunscreen
