Then the hike loops north and goes up the forested canyon floor of Sullivan Canyon and climbs the chaparral covered slopes to Sullivan Ridge. The hike up Sullivan Canyon parallels a seasonal creek through a shady canyon. Alive with\\nthe singing of birds\, this hike sounds and feels like an aviary housed within huge stands\\nof sycamore\, oak\, and willow trees.\\n\\n\\n\\nThis is a 10-12 mile hike. Although not strenuous it is long. No beginners\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom 101 in West San Fernando Valley\, exit Balboa and go South towards Ventura Bl. Turn left on Ventura\, then right on Hayvenhurst...\\n\\n\\n\\nFrom 101 in East Valley\, exit at Hayvenhurst and head south past Ventura Bl...\\n\\n\\n\\nDrive up Hayvenhurst for about a mile and turn right on Encino Hills Dr. At the top turn right on dirt Mullholland and through yellow gate.
