SUMMARY:Midweek Afternoon Hike! Grand Wildwood Loop | Lizard Rock & Waterfall 🥾🍁
DESCRIPTION:Hey! In the late autumn/winter\, I usually like to hike in the afternoon midweek to get some daylight. Join me this Wednesday for a lovely afternoon outing featuring two gorgeous landmarks in beautiful Wildwood Park\, while also getting a great workout. Bonus: sunshine! 🌞 \nIt’s a grand tour of two of the main attractions of Wildwood Park. We’ll start at the tennis courts parking lot (refer to location in the map on this post)\, and go through the tunnel to start out on Moonridge Trail. Then we’ll take Stagecoach Bluff and Mesa trails up to Lizard Rock. We’ll pass the highlight of our tour… the water treatment plant!! 👃🏻🤭 Then we’ll descend to the beautiful waterfall. Finally we’ll return to the parking lot via Two Springs Trail/Indian Creek Trail. \n* Distance: ~ 4.8 miles\n* Terrain: Single-track\, double-track\, **volcanic rock on Stagecoach Bluff**\n* Time: 2 PM start\n* Duration: ~2 hours\n* Elevation: ~800′\n* Difficulty: Advanced Beginner to moderate due to pace\, terrain and climb \nhttps://cosf.org/files/routes/Wildwood%20Lizard%20Rock%20Paradise%20Falls%20Two%20Springs%20Loop.pdf \n* Parking: Free\n* Dogs: No\n* Water: No\n* Toilet: Portable toilet in main parking lot \nSunset will be at 5:00 PM on Wednesday\, so should not be a problem. \n* Weather: Adverse Weather conditions will cancel the hike.
