DESCRIPTION:Let’s do a 4.5 out-and-back up a ridge to a 360° view in lovely Ventura. Ocean for miles! Ogle the Channel Islands! Let’s get some exercise while experiencing the unique beauty of southern California. \nIt’s an out-and-back up a ridge to a stunning ocean view. There are opportunities for gorgeous sunset photos and a chance to see the power of erosion on the surrounding ridges. \nIf you’d like to bring a snack to share\, we can sit at the top and relax for about 10-15 minutes as we watch the sun descend. Bring a headlamp or a charged phone\, as the sun will have set before we return to our vehicles. \n* Distance: ~4.5 miles\n* Terrain: Single-track\, fire road\n* Time: 3 PM start\n* Duration: ~2.5 hours\n* Elevation: ~800′\n* Difficulty: Moderate \n* Parking: Free\, on-street parking. Park on the north side of the road where the trailhead is.\n* Dogs: No\n* Water: No\n* Toilet: No\nSunset will be at 5:09 PM on Wednesday. Bring a headlamp or charged phone to light your way as we descend.\n* Weather: Adverse weather or fire danger conditions will cancel the hike.
