About This Event
Get multiple Fun Cycling Events for the price of 1. We start from the Los Angeles State Historic Park where there is free parking on adjacent streets (see our interactive route map). We follow a test route for next year's Firecracker bike ride onto the Los Angeles River Bike Trail and mix it with bike friendly roads through Griffith Park. Reentering the bike path, we return and merge into the Chinatown Hub of CicLAvia.
Participants of this ride will have an opportunity for free SWAG and a discount for the LA Firecracker event next year. Available at the end of the ride at the Firecracker booth in Chinatown.
After the ride, you will be able to experience CicLAvia at your own pace.
Take advantage of free parking (or take the Metro). Explore the LA River. Pass by the Autry Museum, LA Zoo and Travel Town. Enjoy the Heart of Los Angeles on two wheels.
20 Mile Easy Out & Back to Griffith Park along the LA River Bike Path - 90% on Bike Path https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44692230 We will be traveling at a relaxed recreational pace averaging 12 mph.
Come early for the best parking spots. We roll promptly at 8:15 am.
Requirements: Helmets are mandatory. Make sure your bike is in good operating condition and bring at least one spare inner tube.
This is a self supported ride – there is no SAG. In case of a major mechanical breakdown, plan on calling an Uber or phone a friend. Bring sufficient liquids/hydration and snacks/energy bar/gels… etc for the ride length and temperature.
Ebike? - OK if it is Class 1 or 3 and you keep a pace consistent with the group.
Parking: Free Parking along N Spring St and adjacent side streets - Paid parking inside the State Park. Meters are free on Sunday.
Direct access via Metro Gold Line Chinatown Train Station or just ride to the start location.
Restrooms inside the Los Angeles State Park (Opens at 8:00 am). Other stops are shown on the route map. Also available throughout the CicLAvia event route.
