About This Event
Join us for an easy-paced 8.5 mile hike alongside a creek bed, rolling grasslands and oak groves. For more details and a trail map see brochure in Files section (https://files.meetup.com/454296/Palo%20Comado_Cheeseboro.pdf). This hike is rated "moderate-to-strenuous" with a 1,200' elevation gain.
Meet 9:00 am at the trailhead.
Directions:
From 101 Fwy, take Kanan Rd exit. Turn North towards Oak Park 2 ¼ mi to Sunnycrest Dr and turn Right. Continue ¾ mi to where Sunnycrest Dr changes name to Doubltree Rd and park at curb at the 4th(?) "Public Open Space" sign. There is also a large yellow sign announcing planned water tank site "A8."
From LA/PCH take Malibu Canyon up to the 101 North (left) and exit Kanan as above.
Bring at least 2 Qt water, snacks/lunch
