The trail begins with a steady climb up the Trailer Canyon fire road, weaving through chaparral and coastal sage until it meets the Temescal Ridge Trail. From there, a gentle ridge walk leads north toward Temescal Lookout, a former fire observation site with 360-degree views of the Pacific, downtown Los Angeles, and the San Gabriel Mountains.
